HERITAGE

The 5,000+ years of herbal healing tradition is built on the shoulders of giants, from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) giants, to our forebears who, often given little access to medical help, learned to find healing help in herbs.

Uncle Tan belongs to this long lineage. If we help him to perpetuate this healing tradition, we too can stand on the shoulders of these giants and pass on precious knowledge to future generations.

INSPIRATION

Rare enzyme in common plant

NTU scientists have discovered that an enzyme from the Clitoria Ternatea, or the blue butterfly pea plant (used for colouring of nonya kueh) can help lead to a better understanding of human cells, and how to prevent diseases such as cancer.

In Uncle Tan's gardens are plants he is nurturing at the request of researchers.  We hope this website will inspire more of such research.

南大学科研团队日前在本地常见的蝶豆（clitoria ternatea）中提取一种具有罕见功能的新分子, 可以制作出新的药物，包括抗癌药物等。

陈先生就常受一些研究员委托，负责悉心照顾具有治病潜能的植物。

Uncle Tan's association with the Nanyang zone 2 Residential Committee ("RC"), community herb garden at Jurong West St 91, Blk 938 had ceased on 31st May 2017. We have since shifted to D'Kranji Resort, 10 Neo Tiew Lane .
