Okra Root and Licorice Tea

Principal Herb: Okra/Abelmoschus esculentus

Uses:  Helps to strengthen bones and muscles, improve blood circulation, tonify bone marrow, relieve joint pain and prevent osteoporosis.

Ingredients:

200-250 grams fresh okra root
(including about 20 cm of the stem that is connected to the root)
7 slices               licorice
2 litres                water

Preparation:

  1. Wash and slice the root.

  2. Add all the ingredients into a pot and cook for two hours.

Dosage:

Twice weekly.

Warning:
People suffering from serious oedema (ie water retention) should avoid liquorice.

秋葵根甘草茶

秋葵根用的部份乃黄秋葵主干 20 公分左右与其连带的根系。以下药方可 强筋骨,通血脉,补骨髓,缓解关节酸痛,防骨质疏松症:

材料:
200-250克 秋葵根鲜品
7片              甘草
2000毫升   水

作法:
1.  秋葵根洗刷干净切片
2. 所有材料放进锅内煮 2 个小时即可

服用次数:
每星期 2 次

注: 严重水肿患者忌服甘草
